Top tip for Christmas although probably a bit late for most! Tesco Wine have generally offered a pretty good service but this week they have surpassed themselves with terrible service and I won’t be using them again. I had a problem this time last year and after a grovelling apology and £50 compensation I relented and have used them again, but not any more.
I placed a “next day delivery” on Friday for a Saturday delivery that simply did not turn up – annoying as I had people for lunch on Sunday which was the reason I ordered it. When I queried it on Monday, I was told it would arrive that day, which half of it did. Three phone calls and 5 days later I am still none the wiser where the remainder of my delivery is or when it will arrive.
Tesco have sent me a text telling me they’ll get back to me with a resolution within 48 hours, so three hours to go…we’ll wait and see!
In the meantime, I can’t fault Majestic Wine – helpful knowledgeable staff who want to sell wine. Useful at this time of year.
