Baked Camembert with Herby Potatoes
Serves 4 - 6
Wow your dinner party guests with this quick and easy Baked Camembert with Herby Potatoes.
Ingredients
- A Camembert, in a box (make sure it is ripe!)
- 1 clove garlic
- freshly ground salt and black pepper
- a few thyme leaves
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- ciabatta (or baguette)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 220°/gas 7.
- Unwrap the cheese and rub all over with the cut garlic clove.Return the cheese to its box and place on a baking tray. Season the cheese with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Sprinkle over the thyme and drizzle over the olive oil.
- Bake the Camembert in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted inside. Allow to cool slightly, and then serve with the bread for dipping.
Alternatively this cheese could be served with waxy potatoes, par boiled for 10 mins, very thinly sliced, fried and sprinkled with salt, pepper and rosemary.
