I found a great website today which has an amazing selection of really unusual ingredients – the kind of thing you always think – I can’t cook that dish as I have no idea where to source the ingredients.
So have a look at Souschef.co.uk – they have lovely tableware (including fabulous Bento boxes and lovely stoneware bowls), professional cookware (including sous vide and water baths) and a huge selection of ingredients.
They stock edible flowers, saffron and vanilla pods and a colourful range of salts including Himalayan pink salt crystals and black lava sea salt. They have over 10 different dried mushrooms and bottles of truffle oil. For the keen cook they stock agar strips, tartaric acid and sodium algenate – all a bit of a mystery to me.

Finally – they sell popping candy – what’s not to like! I’ve not bought from them yet but will certainly make a note for the future.
